Kim Collins
Data Analytics manager
Kim is a geographer with an uncommon background in commercial fishing. She graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a degree in Earth Science. After university she took on more responsibility in the family-owned fishing business which meant 4 months on the water in Prince William Sound, Alaska, and the rest of the year she used to travel. She visited many counties in South America, and enjoyed backpacking especially in such scenic places as Chilean Patagonia and Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina. After traveling for a couple winters she settled down in Portland, OR and decided to go back for a higher degree. She finished a master’s certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Portland State University and shortly after joined Longitudes Group as a Geographer. When she’s not at the computer performing data analytics and mapping she is outside riding her bike along many of the scenic routes around Portland.
